With over 35 years of experience in the civil engineering industry, she has a robust educational background, holding a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master's degree in Concrete Structures from Imperial College in London, UK. Additionally, she completed a Management Development Programme at the University of Pretoria. Miriam has a keen interest in infrastructure project planning and development, excelling at conceptualizing and packaging projects during the early stages of the project life cycle. Her extensive experience allows her to operate effectively at various levels, from technical project management to strategic and political engagements on infrastructure issues. Her key skills include project management and administration, construction contract supervision, stakeholder liaison, technical leadership on water and sanitation projects, and expertise in modeling and master planning for water and sewer systems. She is also adept at drafting, evaluating, and adjudicating tender documents, as well as compiling annual and long-term capital budgets for municipalities.
