Eustina is an a highly experience Civil Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the water and wastewater sector. She holds a Master’s and PhD in Civil Engineering, specializing in Water Quality, from the University of Cape Town, as well as an MSc in Management (Sloan Fellowship) from London Business School in the United Kingdom. Her career has spanned Sub-Saharan Africa, Canada, and the UK, where she has led a wide range of projects—from small, decentralized pond systems to large, complex activated sludge plants with integrated energy and resource recovery systems.
As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TruSense, Eustina plays a central leadership role in shaping the company’s vision and driving innovation across its international operations. Under her guidance, TruSense has become a leader in pioneering sustainable, circular economy solutions for sanitation waste management. She leads multidisciplinary teams and works closely with partners and stakeholders to deliver technically advanced, environmentally responsible, and financially sustainable wastewater treatment strategies.
Eustina’s expertise spans process design, optimization, mathematical modelling and technology R&D. She continues to lead research and development of clean technologies that support energy efficiency, resource recovery, and climate resilience in the sanitation sector.
Her leadership is grounded in strong corporate, strategic, and project management capabilities, and she is committed to capacity building through the training of engineers and plant operators. Prior to founding TruSense, she held executive and board-level roles at Ninham Shand (now Zutari), where she led large multidisciplinary teams and complex infrastructure projects.
